Think of the Seychelles and you can't help but thing of a tropical haven that basks in sunny weather all year round. Its tropical climate is largely due to the location of its islands and the influence of trade winds. Temperatures here do not vary a great deal, with hot sunshine only broken by the occasional tropical rainstorm.
In general, temperatures remain pretty stable, between 26°C / 79°F and 31°C / 88°F or 32°C / 90°F throughout the year, with an average of 29°C / 84°F. That aside, there are some seasonal variations.
Seasonal Variations / When to Go
The months of October to March are characterized by humid, warm weather. This is largely because of the influence of the north-west trade winds. It's not until later in the season that the Seychelles sees anything much in the way of rainfall. In January and February, rain tends to arrive in the form of showers rather than prolonged rainy days.
May to September is the time when the climate becomes a little cooler and drier. This is particularly the case for the more south-easterly islands that make up the Seychelles.
The most popular times of the year to visit are around Christmas and New Year, and from July to August, when many people choose to take their annual summer holidays.
